Early-Stage SaaS Beta Operator (B2B / QA & Dev Tools)

Job ID: 40111539

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I’m a solo founder building Bugzy, a web-based bug reporting and debugging tool for QA teams and developers. We’re entering a 3-month public beta, and I’m looking for a hands-on operator to help drive real usage, not vanity metrics.

This is not a content-only or strategy-only role.
This is about getting real teams to actually use the product in their workflow.

-------------------------------------

What Success Looks Like (Very Clear)

- Over 3 months, success means:
- 30–50 relevant signups
- 10–20 real, active users (teams creating projects, inviting teammates, reporting issues)
- 5–10 pieces of qualitative feedback or testimonials
- Optional: company logos
- A credible Product Hunt launch grounded in real usage

Revenue is not a goal during beta (payments are disabled).

-------------------------------------

What You’ll Actually Do (Execution-Heavy)

You will:
- Talk directly with QA leads, QA engineers, developers, and small teams
- Drive 1:1 conversations (LinkedIn, communities, Reddit, Indie Hackers, Slack/Discord)
- Personally follow up with beta users to push activation (not just signup)
- Help onboard teams and understand where they get stuck
- Collect feedback in users’ own words and turn it into insights
- Help refine positioning and messaging based on real users
- Support Product Hunt preparation and launch (comments, engagement, follow-ups)

This is a builder role, not a posting or scheduling role.

-------------------------------------

Target Users

- Primary: QA professionals
- Decision makers: QA managers, QA leads, test directors
- Influencers: QA engineers, developers
- Company size: small to mid-size teams (≈5–50 people)
- Geography: US & Western Europe (UK, Germany, France, Netherlands)

-------------------------------------

What This Is NOT

Please do not apply if you:
- Only do strategy, frameworks, or documentation
- Focus mainly on ads, funnels, or automation
- Measure success by traffic or impressions
- Expect the founder to “execute the plan for you”
- Are uncomfortable with ambiguity or small numbers early on

-------------------------------------

What Makes You a Great Fit

- You’ve worked with early-stage or pre-revenue SaaS
- You’re comfortable starting conversations from scratch
- You care more about activation than acquisition
- You can work independently but communicate clearly
- You enjoy learning directly from users and adapting quickly

You don’t need Product Hunt “wins”, but you do need to show how you’ve helped products get their first real users.

-------------------------------------

Engagement & Structure

- Contract: 3 months
- Budget: ~$2000 for 3 months (+ -)
- Paid month-by-month (continue based on results)
- Weekly written updates with concrete outcomes
