I need an interior designer
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
We are both in our mid 60’s and would like our residence to reflect this with an emphasis on QUALITY, COMFORT and PRACTICALITY/ SAFETY.
It is a new build and we feel that there is already some “wow factor“in the long feature wall, the modern light fittings in both living areas the black fridge and kitchen finish etc
We like to entertain friends and family in small groups only (2-4 ideally and 6 max) and we are audiophile and we be considering some high end wireless speakers for the downstairs living area ( possibly B/O, Pantheone or similar)
We both love Japanese culture and what it represents in colour and form and love the softening effects of plants / greenery inside and out.
Our colour preferences are grey, black, soft greens, wood grains and cream / off white.
We are not really interested in a beach-house look with shells, sea gulls , anchors etc even though we are near the beach !!
We also like mirrors and glass and would like to incorporate this in some form
The main areas / priorities for us are :
MASTER BEDROOM - suitable rug for under our king bed ( existing )and you already have and need bedside lamps - the ones in the photo were from the stylist but we liked the look. Images can be sent.
DOWNSTAIRS LIVING - modular furniture, with comfortable leg height and backing, suitable rug, coffee table(s), cushions etc. Possibly a feature chair or swivel chair (stand alone ) depending on space etc. Not really interested in an Ottoman. As mentioned stand alone wireless speakers somewhere.
Also stand alone DRINKS CABINET for space next to kitchen - we sent photos of a couple that caught our eye.
INSIDE FRONT DOOR - hall table and possibly mirror as discussed. We have 2 mirrors we plan to take.( Phobos can be provided)
STUDY NOOK - good office chair possibly on a mat to prevent floor wear.
UPSTAIRS LIVING / RETREAT - possibly a second entertainment area for 4 adults max, and possibly a small fridge and area for a kettle or drinks.
GUEST / BACK BEDROOM - possibly a small piece of furniture and a chair.
