Texas Transformation of Home and Yard
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a 1,000 Sqft house that I would like to build out under the existing carport and add an additional bathroom and bedroom and kitchen remodel. The house is a pier and beam construction see attached pictures and plans. I love modern farmhouses with white and black trim. I attached a picture of a house that I love. I need a house design and a landscape design for a lot that is sloped and V-shaped, but I think that will have to be two people. I attached my simple layout of what I was thinking, but I am sure a good interior designer would have much better ideas of what to do in the space. I had a guy a few years ago do some plans, but he was not a designer and there are issues with the design, in that getting to the backyard is not easy.
House dimensions are 26' 2" on the outside walls x 52'
Description of the redesign.
Kitchen
• u shaped in the back left of house
• sink is in corner with dishwasher to the right
• peninsula countertop separating the dining from the kitchen.
• There is a 10X12 Concrete patio off of the back left of the house. The door off the kitchen walks out onto it.
Laundry room/Office
1. double glass doors
2. put in stackable washer and dryer with hanging and shelves in closet for noise reduction
3. Space for small freezer and fridge
4. I am going to put my desk in there for my office
5. I really want a laundry with closed doors and a place to put an extra Refrig and freezer.
Master bedroom and Bath 2
• Build a small bathroom off the master
Bed 1 (back right bedroom stays the same)
Bath 1- stays the same.
Bed 2 (back bedroom left of the current bathroom)
• relocate the closet to enlarge make it easier to arrange furniture.
• close the current door and move to accommodate the new hallway.
I put the AC Closet in the spot where it is now.
Water heater will be tankless in Washer area or outside little closet off the back patio
