We are looking for a talented and creative freelance Home Interior Designer to assist us in designing our new home. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in interior design, excellent project management skills, and the ability to deliver mood boards and curated shopping lists tailored to our preferences. Working with our provided floor plans, the designer will develop multiple design options to help us make informed choices.
Key Responsibilities:
Concept Development: Collaborate with us to understand our design preferences, lifestyle, and functional needs to create cohesive and appealing design concepts.
Mood Boards Creation: Develop inspiring and visually engaging mood boards for each room that reflect the desired atmosphere, color palettes, and styles.
Floor Plan Integration: Use our floor plans to tailor design options to the space, ensuring a practical layout and optimal use of space.
Furniture and Décor Sourcing: Provide a well-curated shopping list of furniture, fixtures, and décor items, with various options to accommodate style preferences and budget.
Presentation of Design Options: Deliver multiple design options for each room to allow us to select from various styles and configurations.
Communication and Adjustments: Be open to feedback and work with us to make revisions as needed until we are satisfied with the design plan.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in interior design, ideally with a portfolio showcasing home design projects.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, or other visualization tools) and mood board creation.
Knowledge of current interior design trends, furniture sourcing, and material selection.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret client preferences.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
