Remote Interior Designer for Construction Company

About Us:
Skywide Construction is a real estate and renovation company based in Philadelphia. We handle residential renovation and Airbnb property development. We’re now hiring a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to support our growing design needs.
Role Overview:
The Interior Designer will work with our team to create modern, cohesive, and functional interior layouts. You will be responsible for mood boards, design concepts, material selections, and coordination with the renovation team to bring spaces to life, primarily for residential units and Airbnb properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop interior design concepts and mood boards for new and renovated spaces
2. Select finishes, furniture, lighting, paint colors, flooring, and fixtures
3. Create simple visual presentations or layout suggestions (2D preferred, 3D is a plus)
4. Work with the operations team to align design with budget and timeline
5. Recommend sources for materials (Home Depot, Floor & Decor, IKEA, etc.
6. Revise designs based on team feedback
7. Coordinate virtually with contractors if needed
Requirements:
1. Strong design sense and creativity
2. Basic to intermediate graphic/layout tools (Canva, SketchUp, Photoshop, etc.)
3. Attention to detail and ability to follow a project from concept to implementation
4. Understanding of modern, minimalist, and Airbnb-style design trends
5. Good communication skills (written English)
6. Access to a computer and internet
Preferred (But Not Required):
1. Experience designing for short-term rental units (Airbnb)
2. Knowledge of product sourcing and pricing from vendors like Home Depot, Wayfair, Amazon, etc.
3, Interior design diploma/certification or experience in design/architecture
