I’m fitting out the entrance lobby of my new after-school program for six- and seven-year-olds and want the whole area to feel like a playful journey around the world. As soon as the children walk in they should sense they’ve begun an adventure: the kitchen station evokes Italy, the main play zone hints at Orlando’s Disney magic, and every other corner nods to a different country we’ll decide together.
I need a full concept that pulls these ideas into one cohesive space plan. Rather than committing to a single seating style, show me how individual chairs, long benches, bean bags—or an inventive mix—could work within the floor plan. The palette should stay largely neutral, then burst into carefully placed pops of color that tie each “country” station together without overwhelming young eyes.
Key elements for the play zone must be woven in from the start:

• Soft-play structures for safe climbing and sliding
• A snug reading corner and small library
• A special “Harry Potter” lunch table that feels straight out of the Great Hall
