Patent Reinstatement and Filing: NZ to US

Job ID: 40614657

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

USPTO-Registered Patent Attorney — Lapsed Patent Reinstatement + NZ-to-US Patent Filing

Project scope:
This engagement covers two related but distinct tasks:

Reinstatement of a lapsed US utility patent — maintenance fee was missed; reinstatement under unintentional/intentional delay procedures needs to be assessed and filed with USPTO.
Filing New Zealand-origin patents in the United States — bringing granted/pending NZ patent family assets into the US system (national phase entry via PCT and/or Paris Convention priority filing, as applicable per case).

Required qualifications — non-negotiable:

Active USPTO registration (Patent Attorney, not Patent Agent) — registration number must be provided and will be independently verified against the USPTO's public Registered Patent Attorney/Agent roster before any engagement begins
Active state bar admission in good standing — bar number and jurisdiction must be provided and will be independently verified against the relevant state bar's public attorney directory
Applications without both numbers stated up front will not be considered

Experience wanted:

Direct, verifiable experience with patent reinstatement petitions (37 CFR 1.137)
Direct, verifiable experience with PCT national phase entry and/or Paris Convention priority filings, ideally involving New Zealand or other foreign-origin patent families

Payment structure:

Hourly rate (please state your rate clearly in your proposal)
Separate fixed-fee quotes requested for: (a) the lapsed patent reinstatement, and (b) each NZ-origin US filing

To apply, please include in your proposal:

Full legal name
USPTO registration number
State bar number + jurisdiction
Brief description of 1-2 comparable matters you've handled (reinstatement and/or foreign-priority filing)
Your hourly rate and a rough quote range for the two scopes above

Proposals without verifiable credentials stated directly in the response will be declined without further review.
