I’m assembling a 50-slide PowerPoint that will teach intermediate-level students how to secure a Windows operating system using the tools built directly into the OS and the supporting hardware. I will send you my slide template; you’ll populate it with a balance of clear theory and hands-on practice.
What the deck must achieve
• Explain the purpose and inner workings of core Windows security facilities—user and group management, permissions, NTFS security, BitLocker & TPM, Group Policy, auditing/logging, UAC, secure boot, device control, patch management, and other settings that harden the OS without relying on third-party antivirus or standalone firewalls.
• Provide step-by-step, screenshot-rich walkthroughs wherever a setting is configured or a command is run, so students can replicate the process in lab sessions.
• Contrast software-based controls with the supporting hardware elements (e.g., TPM chips, secure boot keys) to show the end-to-end chain of trust.
• Keep language accessible yet technically accurate for an intermediate audience; avoid jargon that hasn’t been defined.
• Use visuals generously—diagrams, flowcharts, and real interface captures—to keep the learning engaging.
Deliverables
1. A fully editable PowerPoint (~50 detailed slides) using my template.
2. High-resolution images embedded and supplied separately in an “assets” folder with attribution where required.
3. Speaker notes or brief talking points under each slide so instructors know how to elaborate during class.
Acceptance criteria
• All listed topics covered with at least one practical demo per area.
• No third-party antivirus or standalone firewall focus; emphasis stays on OS-native mechanisms.
• File opens cleanly in the latest Office release with consistent styling from the provided template.
