Ed Psych & Neuroscience Content Reviewer — Unpublished Middle-School Workbook
Seeking an experienced reviewer to evaluate an unpublished workbook and Facilitator’s Guide for girls in grades 6–8. This is a scientific/educational integrity review — not editing or proofreading.
I’m looking for expertise in educational psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, learning sciences, or a related field to objectively assess whether the material is scientifically accurate, developmentally appropriate, and engaging for readers ages 11–14.
Scope of Review
• Scientific and educational accuracy
• Developmental appropriateness for ages 11–14
• Sound interpretation of current neuroscience/psychology research
• Statements that are overstated, misleading, or unsupported
• Opportunities to simplify without losing accuracy
• Clear, age-appropriate explanations of brain, behavior, emotion, and learning
• Consistent terminology throughout
• Overall publication readiness
Deliverables
• Annotated manuscript with comments/recommendations
• 2–4 page summary: strengths, key concerns, clarity/accuracy suggestions, statements needing revision, and overall readiness assessment
Future Collaboration
First in a planned series — looking to build an ongoing relationship for consistent scientific guidance on future volumes.
Ideal Qualifications
Background in educational psychology, developmental or child/adolescent psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, learning sciences, SEL, curriculum development, or science communication. Experience translating complex science for children/adolescents is a plus.
