Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Curriculum Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design and content development, with a passion for creating engaging and effective learning materials. This role will involve collaborating with program staff, coaches, and subject matter experts to develop curriculum and training programs that meet the needs of adult/youth learners. The Writer will play a crucial part in enhancing the learning experience through clear communication and innovative content.

Duties
Develop and write instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, and curriculum guides.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Incorporate inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices into all materials
Utilize software (eg: ADDIE) principles to design effective learning experiences tailored to diverse audiences.
Implement Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programs.
Ensure all curriculum supports measurable outcomes and aligns with grant requirements (when applicable)
Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in training and development.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops using various platforms as needed.
Utilize Adobe Captivate for developing interactive e-learning content.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in adult/youth education, instructional design, and learning technology.

Skills
Proficient in instructional design methodologies.
Strong project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
Background in nonprofit or community-based education work.
Sensitivity to and experience working with diverse populations.
Experience in curriculum development tailored for adult and youth learners.
Familiarity with LMS platforms and their functionalities.
Knowledge of learning technologies that enhance educational delivery.
Strong presentation skills for delivering engaging training sessions.
Classroom experience is a plus, providing insight into learner needs and dynamics.
