Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nonprofit Curriculum Writer to design, develop, and refine educational content and program materials aligned with our mission. This individual will collaborate with program staff, coaches, and subject matter experts to create engaging and outcome-driven curricula for workshops, online courses, and community programs focused on personal development, financial literacy, career readiness, and emotional wellness.

Key Responsibilities

Design and write curriculum for youth and adult programs (in areas such as personal growth, leadership development, social development, financial literacy, health and fitness, and team building)

Ensure curriculum aligns with organizational values, learning objectives, and target audience needs

Incorporate inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices into all materials

Collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, and facilitators to develop content and tools

Create lesson plans, facilitator guides, student workbooks, assessments, and supplemental materials

Adapt materials for multiple delivery formats (in-person workshops, online platforms, self-paced learning)

Revise and update existing curriculum based on feedback and program outcomes

Ensure all curriculum supports measurable outcomes and aligns with grant requirements (when applicable)

Qualifications

Proven experience developing curriculum or instructional content (preferably in a nonprofit, education, or community-based setting)

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and youth engagement strategies

Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills

Experience with social-emotional learning (SEL), financial education, workforce development, or similar topics is a plus

Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy)

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of online learning platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Moodle, Canva, etc.)

Background in nonprofit or community-based education work

Bilingual/multilingual candidates encouraged to apply
