Outdoor Basketball Hoop Setup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’ve purchased a regulation-size basketball system that’s designed for an outdoor pole mount. The spot in my yard is already leveled and ready for the base, and the manufacturer’s instruction manual is available in both digital and printed form for quick reference.
Your task is to complete the full installation: assemble the hoop, secure it in the prepared ground area, attach and align the backboard & rim, and finish with a stability check so the hoop sits at the correct 10-foot height. The surface around the site is brick-and-concrete, so you’ll need the proper drill bits, wrenches, level, and any anchoring tools or fast-setting concrete mix you normally use—I don’t have any tools on hand.
When you’re done, I’d like to walk through a quick test shoot and receive any care or adjustment tips you recommend.
Deliverable: a safely installed, game-ready hoop, perfectly plumb and play-tested.
