Building-Wide LAN Cabling Installation

Job ID: 40443984

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m outfitting an entire building with a completely new Ethernet network and need a low-voltage specialist to take the project from planning through final certification. There is no existing cabling to reuse, so every run—from the main IDF/MDF to each floor and room—must be designed, installed, terminated, labeled, and tested to current standards.

The scope covers riser and horizontal pathways, cable management (trays, conduits, raceways), rack and patch-panel setup, RJ-45 terminations, and full acceptance testing (Fluke or equivalent). I expect Cat6 or better cabling, clean punch-downs, consistent color-coding, and clearly marked faceplates. When the job is done I need a set of as-built diagrams, test reports, and warranty details for the installed materials.

Deliverables:
• End-to-end Ethernet/LAN cabling for the entire building
• Patch panels, racks, cable labeling, and dressing completed
• Certification reports showing each drop meets spec
• As-built documentation and floor-by-floor drop list

Please outline your experience with building-scale new installations, the test gear you use, and your estimated timeline to get everything pulled, terminated, and certified.
