Always-On Rear Camera Install
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’ve already bought a wired Rear Brake-Light Reversing Camera kit specifically for a Peugeot Boxer and simply need a competent auto-electrician to fit it. The kit includes its own small monitor with a mount for to sit on the dashboard
Key points of the job
• Power source: please wire the camera and monitor so they come on with the ignition ACC feed, not just the reverse lamp feed. The camera should remain live the entire time the engine is running.
• Routing: run the cable through the high-level brake-light position, seal any penetrations properly, and tidy the wiring through the roof lining and dash so nothing dangles or rattles.
• Final check: once installed, start the engine and confirm I get a continuous clear image on the dash-mounted screen, with no flicker or error codes, and that the Boxer’s existing electrics and reverse sensors still behave normally.
All parts are on hand; you’ll only need standard workshop tools, wiring consumables, and your skill. I’m flexible on date but would like the work completed in a single visit at my location in Paisley. Let me know your estimated time on site and any questions you have about the van’s current setup.
