Instagram Outreach Freelancer for a New Social App | Commission-Based
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Overview:
We are looking for a freelancer to use Instagram to find people who match our target audience. You will use a couple of my Instagram accounts for outreach.
Eligible for Payment:
A participant qualifies for payment only if ALL of the following are true:
• American woman, age 18–22
・Have a boyfriend/girlfriend and see them in person less than 12 times a month.
• Scores 8 or higher on the interview question
{Rules:
• If a participant gives a range (e.g. 7–8), use the average.
• Example:
- 7–8 = 7.5
- Since 7.5 is below 8, the participant is not eligible for payment.}
Compensation:
• Commission-based
• $7 per qualified participant
• $15 bonus for getting 4 qualified sign-ups within 5 days of the contract start date.
Notes:
•The sign-up rate from sign-up offers is 67%. My average follow-back rate has been around 25%.
・All of my Instagram accounts already have connections with American women aged 18–22, so it's easier to find the target audience and get follow-backs.
Account Policy:
If an Instagram account is suspended, restricted, or becomes unusable for any reason, the project ends immediately.
Workflow:
1. Follow users.
2. Send the initial messages (introduce yourself and confirm whether they currently have a partner).
3. Conduct the interview and confirm whether they score 8 or higher.
4. Offer the sign-up.
5. Unfollow people who do not follow you back.
1. Follow Users:
※• Whenever possible, keep your Following count lower than your Followers count. Accounts with more followers than following often appear more trustworthy, which may improve follow-back rates.
• Follow around 70 people per day per account.
• Do it in small batches of about 30 follows.
• Wait about 3 hours between batches.
• Do not rush.
• Keep a pace of about 1 follow every 3 seconds.
• Following significantly faster may increase the risk of account restrictions.
2. Send the Initial Messages:
Send these as separate messages.
Message A
"Hi, [Her Name]! I'm Yuki, a software engineer building a social networking app."
+
Message B
"Would it be okay if I asked you a few questions if you're currently in a relationship? I want to learn more about what American couples are like!"
3. Interview
If she confirms that she currently has a partner, ask the following questions.
Question A
"How often do you see your partner in person each month?"
After she answers, thank her and then send Question B.
Question B
"Imagine an app like leaving little sticky notes for someone you care about without expecting a reply. Low effort, but still meaningful.
On a scale from 1 (not at all) to 10 (really want to try it), how much would you want to try it with him? And why?"
After she answers, send:
"Got it! That's all I wanted to ask. Thank you so much for your help, [Her Name]!"
Sign-up Offer Timing:
Normally, wait 24 hours before sending the sign-up offer. Offering it immediately after the interview may feel too pushy and increase the chance that the participant loses interest.
However, if the interview goes particularly well and you believe the participant is genuinely interested, you may offer the sign-up immediately.
Send the following messages one at a time. Do not send them all together, as long messages are more likely to be ignored.
Message C
"Hello, [Her Name]! I really appreciate your help the other day. Thank you again!"
+
Message D
"I built the app to help people feel connected, even when they're busy, through low-effort but meaningful interactions."
+
Message E
"Would you be interested in trying the app with your boyfriend?"
4. Sign-up
If she agrees, send her the sign-up link and guide her through the process if needed.
5. Unfollow Users
Unfollow users the same way you followed them.
• Use small batches.
• Wait about 3 hours between batches.
• Do not rush.
• Keep a pace of about 1 unfollow every 3 seconds.
App Description
"Nudgie is like leaving little sticky notes for someone you care about without expecting a reply. Low effort, but still meaningful."
