Instagram Outreach & Fan Engagement VA (Music Industry)

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to manage targeted Instagram outreach and fan engagement for a UK indie band.
Your role is to help us grow our true fanbase by connecting with listeners who love artists with a similar sound (Holly Humberstone, Maggie Rogers, The Japanese House, Phoebe Bridgers, etc.).
This job requires daily consistency, excellent communication, and the ability to follow a clear outreach strategy.
Responsibilities
1. Targeted IG Outreach (Daily)
Identify and engage with followers of similar artists, playlists, venues, and music communities.
Send personalised DMs based on templates + guidelines.
Leave thoughtful, relevant comments on selected posts.
Track all conversations and follow-ups in our CRM sheet.
2. Fan Warmth & Retention
Respond to incoming DMs and comments our voice (we will provide scripts and tone guides).
Proactively strengthen relationships with new and existing fans.
3. Growth Tasks
Surface potential micro-influencers, playlist curators, creators, and superfans worth connecting with.
Flag high-value conversations or opportunities to the team.
4. Reporting & Communication
Submit a daily end-of-day report (non-negotiable) including:
number of DMs sent
number of replies
notes on positive fan interactions
any issues or suggestions
Communicate immediately if you cannot work that day — no silent gaps.
Requirements
Excellent written English
Experience in Instagram outreach, community management, or fan engagement
Strong organisational skills
Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent tone
Fast, honest communication
Must be available 5–6 days per week for ~1–2 hours/day
Success Looks Like
Daily activity completed without reminders
Growth in meaningful fans, not bots or low-quality leads
Smooth, warm conversations that reflect our personality
Zero days of uncommunicated inactivity
Pay
Negotiable based on experience.
Will include performance bonuses for exceptional work.
