Instagram Comment DM Automation Tool

I want to turn every public comment on my Instagram posts into a private conversation that drives marketing and promotions. The job is to build a small, reliable tool that listens for “Someone commented on your post” events and instantly sends that user a Direct Message.

Core flow
1. Authenticate to my Instagram account in a secure, TOS-friendly way (official Graph API, headless browser, or another workable method).
2. Detect new comments in near-real time.
3. Fire off a customizable DM template to the commenter.

Key needs
• Message content must be easy for me to edit so I can swap promotions without touching code.
• The tool has to respect Instagram limits—randomised delays, queueing, basic error handling, and a simple log so I can see what was sent to whom.
• Cloud host (Heroku, Render, AWS) or a lightweight desktop executable—whichever you’re fastest with is fine, as long as setup is clear.
• Source code and a quick README at delivery.

Acceptance criteria
• A fresh commenter receives my test DM within 1-2 minutes, confirmed on a screen-share or short demo video.
• No duplicate messages on repeated comments.
• Simple on/off toggle or pause feature so I can disable the campaign without redeploying.
