Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced freelance developer to integrate Instagram feeds into our two websites: a Shopify store and a WordPress site. This integration will enhance our social media presence and provide real-time updates from our Instagram account directly on our websites.
Responsibilities:
Create and configure an app using the Instagram Developer Console to obtain the necessary API credentials.
Integrate Instagram feeds into the Shopify website, ensuring the feed is responsive and matches the site's design aesthetic.
Integrate Instagram feeds into the WordPress website, ensuring the feed is responsive and matches the site's design aesthetic.
Ensure that the Instagram feeds automatically update with new posts in real-time or at regular intervals.
Implement any necessary caching mechanisms to optimize load times and performance.
Provide documentation on how the integration was done and how to maintain it.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the integration process.
Requirements:
Proven experience with the Instagram API and Developer Console.
Strong proficiency in Shopify development, including Liquid templating language.
Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with API integration and handling OAuth authentication.
Familiarity with responsive web design principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills to explain technical aspects and provide regular updates.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience integrating social media feeds on e-commerce platforms.
Knowledge of caching strategies to optimize performance.
Ability to provide a portfolio or examples of similar work done in the past.
