UPI based payment system with end to end architecture design & implementation
Budget: ₹1,250 – ₹2,500 INR
We’re seeking an experienced Solution/Technical Architect to lead the end-to-end design and architecture of UPI-based payment platforms. You’ll own high-level & low-level system designs, select scalable technologies, integrate with UPI rails, and ensure real-time performance. Prior experience with prominent Indian UPI players like PhonePe or Google Pay is highly desirable.
System Architecture & Design
Architect core UPI components (P2P/P2M, USSD, merchant integrations, autoPay mandates).
Create HLDs and LLDs detailing modules, data flows, fault‑domains, and API contracts.
Drive trade-offs across latency, reliability, cost, and compliance.
Technology Evaluation & Selection
Choose tech stacks (e.g. Java/Spring Boot or Node.js, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, Cassandra/PostgreSQL) optimized for high throughput.
Define infrastructure strategy: cloud-native (Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP) or on-prem containers and service mesh.
Integration with UPI & Banks
Implement UPI transaction flows through PSP, TPAP, NPCI interfaces.
Design settlement/reconciliation processes across partners and NPCI.
Security & Compliance
Ensure adherence to RBI/NPCI rules, PCI-DSS, ISO 20022, HSM encryption, certificate management, 2-way SSL.
Review for vulnerabilities and authorize pen‐tests.
Operational Excellence
Architect for high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
Define observability (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, Splunk) and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code.
Mentoring & Collaboration
Guide engineers via design reviews, best practices, and documentation.
Liaise closely with product stakeholders to shape requirements into secure, scalable systems.
