Efficient Architectural Design for Warehouse and office space
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
Design a architectural design following this instructions:
You are not drawing electric, nor ventilation as restrooms are more or less set with existing drainage limitations
Ground Floor Plan (~160 m2)Design Considerations:Low ceiling height (2.15-2.17 m finished) requires efficient vertical space use.
Entrance hall designed for accessibility and flow to staircase, restrooms, and warehouse.
Warehouse prioritized for open space to maximize storage capacity. ( please see draft picture)
Structural elements (joist direction, steel beams) are shown on the picture provided
Layout: Entrance Hall (15/20 m², located by the door at the lower side with 1.95 m height):Positioned near the existing door for accessibility. North Facing
Modern, open design with minimalistic:
Ground floor level you will be focusing the on the following point below:
- restrooms (left side),
- just after restroom space and clearance – do not hesitate to be smart and clever here to maximise spaces. staircase (left side),
- warehouse (straight ahead or right side).
- Technical cupboard
- Staff kitchenette and small seating area – minimum foot print. (probably open)
- "Good inwards" - door needs to be drawn where you see a red line on the wall opposite to kitchette wall Loading bay access assumed at the rear (to be confirmed).
Warehouse is open plan besides all technical rooms (Main, HW, Server/comm low ceiling (1.95 m at entrance).
Staircase (in RED as suggestion )(~10 m², right of entrance hall):Compact, straight-run staircase with a landing to connect to the upper floor. Ideally position in connection with the downstairs toilets - Server should also seat - even if extended - Allow 1.2/1.3 metre width for the staircase
Under-stair storage for HW tank (hot water tank, ~1 m²) to maximize space efficiency. + extended cupboard to allow for the Main Electric & Server/comms to be seating it is blue as a suggestion
Restrooms (+/- 2.85x4 +) (~9/11 m², left of entrance hall):Configuration: 3 toilets , 2 standard and 1 shower.
Compact layout with wall-mounted fixtures to save space. All toilet would need aligned for drainage purposes
Warehouse (rest of the downstair building (~100 m², rear of ground floor):Open-plan layout for flexible storage (racks, pallets, etc.).

- Open-Plan Office (~100 m², central/high-ceiling area, >2.2 m):Modular workstations for 15-20 employees, arranged to maximize natural light.
- Glass partitions for private offices/meeting rooms (~20 m² total) along the lower side (1.95 m) to minimize headroom issues. (see picture for visual)
- Kitchen/Staff Room (~15 m², near staircase):Located near the staircase for easy access from ground floor. Likely to be open with smart screening.Includes sink, microwave, fridge, and seating for 8-10 staff.
