Senior Industrial Designer — Connected lifestyle product
I am developing a premium consumer connected device for the bedroom, combining ambient features, display functions and a refined lifestyle design. The product is intended for retail distribution in major electronics stores and a crowdfunding launch.
Scope
- Challenge and improve the product concept, features and UX.
- Handle the full industrial design and ergonomics.
- Bring a holistic approach covering design, mechanics and electronic constraints.
- Ensure the product is fully manufacturable.
- Produce 3D CAD models and photorealistic renderings.
- Communicate with manufacturers to optimize design, cost and feasibility.
- Support the project from concept through to the final physical prototype.
Ideal candidate
- Proven track record in consumer hardware product development.
- Experience with lighting, smart devices or lifestyle products is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and production constraints.
- Comfortable working with factories in China or Europe.
- An NDA will be signed before any project details are shared.
