Noise-Cancelling PC Gaming Headphones -- 2
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I’m developing a dedicated PC gaming headset and need an industrial designer who can take the idea from concept to production-ready files. The headset has to prioritise immersive noise cancellation; blocking out mechanical keyboard clicks and background chatter is more critical than sheer loudness.
Here’s what I’m aiming for:
• Form factor tailored to long sessions at a desk, with ergonomics that prevent pressure hotspots around glasses or VR head-mounts.
• Active or hybrid noise-cancelling architecture optimised for constant fan hum and voice frequencies common in home offices.
• Gaming-centred acoustic tuning—clear positional cues and a punchy low end without masking dialogue.
• Detachable, broadcast-quality boom mic that can sit on mute without picking up desk vibrations.
• USB-C / 3.5 mm flexibility so the same set works whether I’m plugged into a DAC or a front-panel jack.
Deliverables
1. Concept sketches and mood boards showing silhouette, hinge mechanism and lighting ideas.
2. Finalised CAD (STEP or SolidWorks) with exploded view.
3. Materials list with sourcing notes focused on lightweight composites and breathable vegan leather.
4. Basic acoustic simulation or test plan demonstrating the target 25 dB active attenuation.
5. Manufacturing notes for injection-moulded parts, PC-ABS blends, cushion foam densities and cable strain-relief.
Acceptance criteria: all files open without errors, assemblies match standard 40 mm driver units, and weight stays under 350 g for the complete headset.
