Industrial enclosure design for a 70 x 30 mm PCB, 3D printable
Budget: ₹8,000 – ₹12,000 INR
I have a finished PCB and I need a proper enclosure designed around it by someone who has
done industrial enclosures before.
The board is 70 x 30 x 1.6 mm with all components on the top face. An RJ45 jack sits at
each short end, 10.9 mm tall, overhanging the board edge by 1.6 mm. There are 4 mounting
holes of 2.2 mm on a 24 x 64 mm pattern. A 4 way DIP switch, 7 mm tall, sits at one long
edge with its actuators facing up. A small sensor sits at the dead centre of the board,
with an RGB LED 5 mm from it and a green LED at the opposite edge. The full STEP file of
the board with every component goes to whoever wins the job.
The case is a two part shell, roughly 80 x 36 x 20 mm, printed in PETG on a Bambu FDM
machine, and it has to solve three problems.
First, the sensor at the center has to read the air outside the case while the electronics
at both ends are heating the inside of it. Venting and internal baffles, and it has to work
with the unit mounted either way round. This is the real design work and it is what I will
judge the bids on.
Second, everything stays reachable once the case is closed. The DIP switch needs a slot it
can be set through with a pen tip. The RGB LED needs a diffused window so it glows instead
of beaming,. Both RJ45 openings need clearance for the plug latch and the cable boot, plus strain relief so the leads do not pull on the jacks.
Third, it has to look like a real product and not a printed prototype. Clean industrial
lines. It mounts onto perforated sheet metal with zip tie slots and clips, and the board is held on M2 bosses or heat set inserts so nothing moves.
I need the native parametric CAD file and a STEP export as the master. For printing, send
either a Bambu Studio 3MF project with your print setup baked in, or an STL plus a written
note telling me the orientation, whether you expect supports, and any settings that matter.
Bid only if you have designed enclosures that were actually manufactured, and show me two
of them in your bid.
