Hand-Waving Doorbell Prototype & Launch

I have conceived a “hand-waving doorbell” that rings the moment someone passes a hand in front of a sensor—no button, no touch. I now need a partner who can take this idea from sketchbook to store shelf.

The scope is end-to-end. First, I want a traditional, classic exterior that blends into older home façades while hiding modern guts. You’ll guide the industrial design, pick the right sensor package, and lay out the PCB so we can offer three must-have features: adjustable sensing sensitivity (think pets vs. people), a library of customizable ringtones, and reliable wireless connectivity for easy installation.

Once the design is locked, I’ll rely on you for a fully functioning prototype—enclosure, electronics, firmware, and a short run off the 3-D printer or CNC, whatever proves quickest for testing. Please keep manufacturability in mind from day one; I would like to move straight into low-volume injection molding if the prototype testing goes well.

Finally, I need help taking the product to market. A launch plan covering branding, packaging, compliance (FCC/CE), an e-commerce storefront, and potential crowdfunding angles would be ideal. If you have existing retail or Amazon contacts, all the better.
