Baby Lounger Design & Tech Pack
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to take a new baby lounger from idea to factory floor and need an industrial designer / product engineer who lives and breathes soft-goods. The goal is a truly original lounger that puts infant comfort and parent convenience first, not a re-skin of what’s already on the market.
Key features I must see in the concept
• Removable cover
• Adjustable head support
• Portable design with built-in handles
• Supportive cushioning with an adjustable incline and a contoured back-hugging shape
Material direction
My top preference is certified organic cotton in all skin-touch areas. Everything else—fill, foams, threads—must be breathable, baby-safe, and compliant with relevant safety standards.
What you’ll deliver
• A unique, ergonomically sound design concept
• Full material specification and justification (fabric, foam densities, notions, etc.)
• Detailed sewing patterns and construction guidance ready for prototyping
• A complete tech pack (dimensioned drawings, BOM, tolerances, stitch types, labeling, care instructions) suitable for manufacturers
Your background
You’ve already developed textile products that combine fabric and foam, ideally cushions or baby gear, and can show past work that proves it. If you understand how to balance softness with structural support and can guide me on stitching, pattern grading, and efficient production, we’ll be a great fit.
Please share relevant portfolio pieces and outline your typical design-to-tech-pack timeline. I’m looking forward to collaborating and bringing this lounger to life.
