Sorting in design file to upload to Amazon kindle direct printing
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have an illustrated book which I have put together in in design. Every time I export it and upload it to Amazon it gets rejected saying the margins and bleeds aren’t enough. The error messages are copied below. I’ve tried several times to fix it but going round in circles so looking for someone who knows more about this stuff to fix it so it’s accepted by Amazon then tell me exactly what they did so that I know for next time. The book has 28 internal

Cover
Resize the background or image on your front cover so that it extends 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. All covers must be sized for bleed, which means you need to add an extra 0.125" (3.2 mm) along the top, bottom, and sides of your cover file. Once you have increased the size of your cover, extend any images or backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. This prevents manufacturing issues when the cover is trimmed to size. Learn more about bleed.

Make sure all text on your front cover is at least 0.375" (9.5 mm) from the cover's edge. This helps to ensure the text isn't cut during manufacturing.
Remove spine text from your cover file. To have spine text, books need at least 79 pages.
