Leading Children publisher wishes to design a step by step, day by day Home Curriculum with easy-to-follow instructions, educational toys and fun activities making learning engaging for both– child and parent. In its current stage, the curriculum is written and there exists a draft design for children ages 1.5 -2.5 years. The curriculum is primarily drafted according to the DAP (Developmentally Appropriate Practices) methodology, a systematic way to teach children.
In conjunction with DAP, the Curriculum is also designed using the Multiple Intelligence Theory which is a blend of pedagogies. By utilizing a mix of teaching methods it hopes to create a well rounded learning experience.
From the beginning of the course in June, the activities in the worksheets increase in terms of complexity and the lessons each day cater to the growth of at least two to three developmental domains in the brain.
Areas of focus
The curriculum is fashioned keeping the age-appropriate development of the child. It is framed so as to cover the various developmental domains like personal awareness, socio-emotional development, nurturing individual potential, gross motor development, fine motor development, cognitive development, language development and ensure a holistic learning process for your child. Development of a child happens from head to toe, and in to out. Keeping this in mind, the curriculum consists of a variety of materials and activities which are designed to teach children the following skills-
Hand-eye co-ordination
Shape and size recognition
Pincer muscle movement
Problem-solving skills
Goal setting
Develop child’s visual sense of colour
Bolster concentration
Improve fine motor skills
We want a designer who is well versed in Indesign and Illustrator and who can design this 3 month curriculum in 3 weeks. The curriculum has been designed for 22 working days of the month, with each day having 4-5 pages and 4-6 activities, that will develop the above areas in a child's life. The focus of the curriculum is the parent buying and executing the curriculum at home, while the child is the recipient of the teaching process.
This is a time bound project, as the curriculum has be ready to go to market by 15th May 2022. We want skill, speed and an excellent designer who has worked on such projects before.
