InDesign to Canva Conversion

Project Overview
We need to convert an existing 60-page InDesign document into a fully editable Canva document while maintaining design integrity, consistency, and usability. The final Canva version should allow for easy edits and updates by non-designers while retaining the professional look and feel of the original InDesign file.

Project Objectives
- Accurately replicate the design, layout, typography, and branding from InDesign to Canva.
- Ensure all text, images, and graphical elements are editable in Canva.
- Maintain consistency in styles, fonts, and colors.
- Optimize for easy future edits by non-designers within Canva.

Scope of Work
1. Review & Analyze
- Assess the InDesign file to understand the structure, layers, typography, and graphic elements.
- Identify any complex elements (e.g., advanced typography, effects, or linked assets) that may require adjustment in Canva.

2. Asset Preparation
- Extract and organize images, icons, and graphic elements from InDesign.
- Convert non-editable or complex design elements into Canva-friendly formats if needed.
- Ensure all assets are optimised for digital use.

3. Rebuild in Canva
- Set up a new Canva document with proper dimensions, margins, and grid structure.
- Recreate each page layout, ensuring accuracy in typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
- Recreate text styles and colours using Canva’s built-in tools for consistency.
- Import and place images, icons, and graphics.
- Adjust any design elements that may not translate directly from InDesign.
- Creating a clickable table of contents for digital usability

4. Review & Refinement
- Cross-check against the original InDesign file for accuracy.
- Make refinements to ensure brand consistency and readability.
- Test the document’s editability by making sample text and image changes.

5. Delivery & Handover
- Provide access to the fully editable Canva document.
- Ensure all fonts, colors, and styles are saved in Canva’s brand kit (if applicable).
- Deliver a brief guide or video on how to make edits.

Design Requirements
- Brand Guidelines: Maintain consistency with the original branding (colors, fonts, spacing, and styling).
- Typography: Match or use the closest equivalent Canva fonts if necessary.
- Images & Graphics: Ensure all assets are properly placed and editable where applicable.
- Structure & Layout: Maintain the same hierarchy and flow as the original InDesign file.

Deliverables
- A fully editable 60-page Canva document replicating the original InDesign file.
- Any supporting assets uploaded and organized in Canva.
- A brief guide (or recorded walkthrough) on how to edit the document in Canva.
