800-Page 6x9 Book Formatting
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I have an 800-page manuscript in Word that I now need laid out to a professional, publish-ready standard for a 6x9-inch trim size. The file already contains roughly sixty embedded graphics that must stay exactly where they are so no unexpected white space appears; they do not need retouching, only secure anchoring and consistent caption positioning.
Here is what I need from you:
• Re-format every page to the standard international publishing specifications for a 6x9 book—correct margins, gutter, running heads/feet, page numbers, chapter openers and hanging titles.
• Make sure text flows cleanly around the existing images without forcing awkward page breaks.
• Return a clean, fully styles-based Word document and a print-ready PDF that passes pre-press checks (ink coverage, embedded fonts, image resolution, and CMYK/RGB compliance).
• Allow multiple rounds of review so I can spot-check layout consistency before we lock the file.
I will provide the current Word manuscript, style notes, and the printer’s specification sheet. You’ll supply interim PDFs for each review round and a final package consisting of:
1. Final formatted .docx (all styles applied)
2. Final print-ready PDF (cover to cover)
If this scope is clear and achievable for you, please outline your turnaround time and any questions you may still have.
