Project Overview

I'm looking for an experienced graphic designer to create a professional user guide for our Yacht Share Owner App.

I've already created an AI-generated mock-up to illustrate the content I'd like to include, the general structure and the overall direction I'd like to take. It should be treated as a starting point rather than a finished design.

The supplied mock-up currently contains at least 9 pages. During the design process, you may feel that additional pages or minor layout changes would improve the overall presentation or user experience. If so, I'm happy to consider your recommendations.

I'm looking for a designer who can use their creativity and experience to improve the layout, visual hierarchy and overall presentation while keeping the guide clear, premium and easy to follow.

The guide will primarily be distributed as a PDF via email. It will also be hosted on our website so users can access it via a shared link. The design should therefore be optimised for digital viewing on both desktop and mobile devices.

The guide should appeal to yacht owners and be extremely easy to read, even for users who aren't particularly technical.

Many of our customers are older, so clarity and readability should take priority over unnecessary design flourishes.

Design Requirements

The finished guide should:

Have a consistent layout throughout.
Use clear typography with good spacing.
Make screenshots easy to understand and legible without excessive zooming.
Use large, readable headings.
Feel premium and professionally designed.
Use the supplied Yacht Share branding consistently.
Make good use of whitespace to avoid clutter.
Use consistent icons, colours and styling throughout.
Be optimised for viewing on both desktop and mobile devices.

The guide is intentionally more image-heavy than text-heavy, with mobile app screenshots forming a significant part of the design. Some screenshots may require cropping, resizing or other minor adjustments to achieve the best overall presentation.

Please base your quotation on delivering a complete, finished guide ready for use, including any reasonable image, layout and formatting adjustments required to achieve a professional result.

Creative Freedom

The supplied mock-up is intended to communicate the content and general direction only.

It does not need to be recreated exactly.

I'm looking for a designer who can improve the visual design, spacing, layout and presentation using their own expertise. If you feel there is a better way to present the information while keeping it intuitive and easy to follow, I'm happy for you to suggest it.

Layout

The current mock-up has been designed in an A4 portrait format.

However, if you believe an alternative page size or layout would provide a better viewing experience on both desktop and mobile while still being suitable for email distribution and website hosting, I'm happy to consider your recommendations.

The priority is creating the best possible user experience.

Future Expansion

The Yacht Share Owner App will continue to evolve as new features are added.

Please design the guide so it can be easily expanded in the future.

To support this:

Avoid references such as "see page 8", "on the next page" or "previous page".
Please don't include page numbers or "Page X of Y" in the design.
Keep the overall layout and styling consistent so additional pages can be added later without disrupting the rest of the guide.
Important

The wording and screenshots included in the mock-up are there to communicate the information I'd like the guide to contain.

Minor copy suggestions are welcome if they improve usability, but the focus of this project is the design rather than rewriting the content.

Deliverables

High-quality PDF suitable for digital distribution.
