Job Description
I am an author and publisher looking for a long-term KDP Expert to help with the formatting, layout, and upload of multiple books and guides. I publish in several categories including Real Estate, Personal Finance, Faith-Based, Wine & Food, and Children’s Educational Coloring Books.
I need someone who is experienced, detail-oriented, and fast, and who understands the technical requirements of KDP for both paperback and eBook formats.
This will be ongoing work with multiple titles per month.
What I Need Help With
You must be able to:
Format manuscripts for Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
Paperback formatting (trim size, margins, bleed, gutter)
eBook formatting with correct TOC
Clean, professional interior layout
Upload files to KDP
Manuscript PDF upload
Cover upload
Keyword setup
Category selection
Pricing and metadata entry
Edit and clean up text
Fix spacing, paragraph issues, widows & orphans
Ensure TOC links properly
Consistent headings, fonts, styles
Handle multiple projects
I have several books and guides coming:
Consumer real estate help guides
Real estate agent training guides
Wine & food lifestyle books
Faith-based books
Children’s coloring books (simple outlines)
I need someone who can manage recurring publishing tasks efficiently.
Ongoing Work Will Include
Updating existing books
Adding new editions
Fixing formatting issues
Uploading new covers
Tweaking keywords for better ranking
Managing metadata inside the KDP dashboard
Preparing books for author copies
Quality checking print previews
This is not a one-time job — I am looking for a long-term publishing partner.
Requirements

Proven KDP experience
You must show at least 5 previous KDP projects you completed.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
I will provide templates, brand guidelines, and standard layouts.
Strong English skills
Attention to detail
I cannot use someone who rushes or leaves mistakes.Fast turnaround & reliable communication
Most projects are not urgent, but consistency matters.
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Bonus)
Experience with Canva, Affinity, or Adobe for simple interior layouts
Experience with children’s book formatting
Knowledge of Amazon keywords and categories
Familiarity with real estate, investing, lifestyle, or education topics
