Kindle & Paperback Book Formatting

My 80,000-word manuscript (about 279 pages) is ready in a Word document and now needs to be transformed into two polished editions—one for Kindle and one for paperback. I want a clean, standard layout with no images or graphics, just a professional finish that reads smoothly on any Kindle device and prints flawlessly through KDP.

Scope of work
• Re-format the Word file into a reflowable Kindle EPUB (or KPF) that passes Amazon’s previewer without errors.
• Create a paperback interior PDF with correct trim size, margins, headers/footers, and an accurately calculated spine width.
• Build a fully clickable table of contents for the ebook and a numbered TOC for the print edition.
• Run a final proofread to catch typos, punctuation slips, and awkward line breaks introduced during layout.
• Return both final files plus the updated Word source within 24–48 hours.

Acceptance criteria
1. EPUB opens in Kindle Previewer with zero validation issues.
2. Paperback PDF meets KDP print-ready specs (bleed, margins, spine alignment).
3. Page numbers match TOC; internal links work correctly.
4. Text is set in a consistent, standard style—nothing fancy, simply clear and readable.
5. No uncorrected spelling or punctuation errors remain.

Once the files pass my quick spot-check, the project is complete and we can wrap up promptly.
