KDP Paperback Interior Formatting
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My 15,000-word nonfiction manuscript (roughly 100–125 pages) is ready for its next step: clean, professional interior layout that meets every Kindle Direct Publishing paperback requirement for a 5 × 8-inch trim size. I want the body text fully justified and I’d like the running headers to alternate between the chapter title and my author name. I want footer center placed page numbers. No header or footer on solo chapter pages and front and back matter of book.
The book launches on 28 November 2025, so I need a print-ready PDF and the working file (Word, InDesign or equivalent) well before then to allow for final proof copies. All standard KDP specifications—correct margins, bleed where needed, embedded fonts, linked images at 300 dpi—must be observed so the upload is accepted on the first try. The cover design is done except for a few extra spaces between words that need to be deleted.Of utmost importance is the deletion of all extra white spaces throughout the book as well as paragraphs being uniformly formatted.
