KDP Formatting: Paperback, Hardcover, Ebook
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a 150-page Word manuscript that now needs to look and behave like a finished book inside Amazon’s ecosystem. The goal is simple: deliver three press-ready formats that KDP will accept on the first upload—
• 6 × 9 in. paperback PDF
• 8.5 × 8.5 in. hardcover PDF
• Reflowable Kindle file (EPUB/KPF)
Style expectations are already defined as “KDP ready for publication on Amazon,” so I’m looking for someone who knows the current KDP trim-size specs, margin tables, bleed settings, and font embedding rules rather than someone who needs creative direction.
Essential elements to build in: a clickable table of contents, running headers and footers that show book title/author, consistent pagination, and correct placement of all images or illustrations at 300 dpi. If you spot any layout issues—widows, orphans, hyphen ladders—I expect those cleaned up as part of the process.
Some minor editing of content towards consistent presentation of the case studies information and the style of the book is part of the process.
Final deliverables must open without warnings in Kindle Previewer and pass KDP’s pre-press checker for both print trims. If you can turn this around quickly and supply source files alongside the PDFs/EPUB, let’s get started.
