KDP Children’s Book Formatting & Launch
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have a fully illustrated children’s story for the 3-to-5 age range and need it turned into a polished hardback on Amazon KDP. All spreads, text, and artwork are ready; what I’m missing is the production expertise to make sure everything meets KDP’s hard-cover specs and passes their previewer the first time.
The job
• Format the 7" × 10" (17.78 × 25.5 cm) interior with no-bleed pages, keeping images exactly where they belong.
• Build an InDesign cover for the same trim size, complete with spine text, my assigned ISBN, and the hard-back wrap template.
• Check typography so the read-aloud text is crisp and legible.
• Upload through my KDP account, run the online preview, and leave the title in “ready to publish” status once every flag is cleared.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF interior (no-bleed, fonts embedded).
2. Print-ready PDF cover (front, back, spine) built in InDesign.
3. KDP hardback project set up in my dashboard with preview screenshots showing zero errors.
Acceptance
Payment releases once the Amazon previewer shows the green light for both interior and cover.
