InDesign Professional for 76-Pg Magazine Layout
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Project: Layout Design of a 76-Page Professional Magazine in InDesign (Long-Term Collaboration)
Context:
I am looking for a professional layout designer to take charge of the complete design of a quarterly professional magazine, composed of 76 pages. The style, structure, and graphic charter of the magazine are already defined and must be followed with strict precision.
What I provide:
The InDesign source file of the previous issue (including styles, templates, graphic guidelines…)
A detailed flatplan (Excel file provided: RR 80 PAGES.xls) that includes:
The full structure of the magazine (articles, sections…)
The exact pagination for each article
The placement and size of advertisements
For each article to lay out, a complete folder containing:
The final text
High-resolution images (photos, graphics…)
Each folder is named like this: 064-067_RR80_MATERIEL_TomraGainNext_SR
High-resolution PDFs of the ads to be inserted as indicated
What I expect:
Strict compliance with the existing graphic charter (typography, styles, columns, margins, headers, lines, etc.)
Each section has its own design style: you must use the appropriate layout template based on the section (indicated in both the folder name and the Excel file)
Careful placement of images, captions, photo credits, titles
Proper management of bleeds, margins, alignments, and image preparation in CMYK, 300 dpi
Deliverables:
The complete packaged InDesign file (with all fonts and linked files)
A print-ready PDF, page by page, meeting printing standards
Deadline compliance, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential
Ongoing Work:
This project is for the upcoming issue. If the collaboration goes well, I plan to assign all future quarterly issues to the same designer to ensure consistency.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in magazine layout design
Excellent command of InDesign, Photoshop, and print production workflows
Precision, reliability, and full respect for editorial guidelines
Previous work on professional publications is a strong plus
Able to work autonomously while maintaining close collaboration with the editor
Timeline:
The project starts immediately after selection. The final layout must be delivered this week with possible feedback rounds during the process.
How to apply:
Please send:
Examples of magazines or similar publications you have designed
Your availability
Your rate for the full 76-page project
A brief description of your working process (tools, workflow, collaboration)
