InDesign Process Book Tutor
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need a patient InDesign expert who can jump on live screen-share sessions with my son during his Christmas break and guide him step-by-step as he builds the process book for his MFA Illustration thesis at SCAD. His artwork is already complete; the challenge lies in turning that work into a coherent, professional page layout. He struggles with dyslexia, so clear verbal explanations and visual demonstrations are essential.
Your focus will be on overall page design and layout coherence rather than granular typography tweaks or heavy image editing. Together you’ll decide on grids, pacing, visual hierarchy and consistent styles, then apply those decisions across the full document. We are aiming for practical, hands-on tutoring that leaves him confident enough to continue refining the book after the sessions end.
Deliverables
• A series of real-time screen-share lessons (Zoom, Google Meet, or your preferred tool).
• At least one reusable InDesign template file set up with master pages, paragraph/character styles and guides.
• A brief written recap after each session summarising steps taken and next actions so he can follow along independently.
Please tell me your availability between now and early January and share any previous teaching or mentoring experience in Adobe InDesign. Familiarity with illustration portfolios or process books is a plus, but clear, supportive instruction is the priority.
