Heritage Book Layout Design - 18/12/2025 14:16 EST

I need a skilled layout designer to prepare the interior of a heritage-themed book that will be printed only. The final trim size is 210 × 275 mm (8.25″ × 10.8″) and the printer will case-bind it in hardcover, so margins, gutters, and spine allowances must respect that specification.

The manuscript is ready; text arrives in Word and images as high-resolution TIFF/JPEG. I have a rough running order plus a few sample spreads that show the traditional, understated look I’m after—think generous white space, classic serif body copy, and clean hierarchy for chapter openers, sidebars, and photo captions. Your task is to translate those references into a polished InDesign file, balance text–image flow, and supply everything the printer needs.

Deliverables
• Fully formatted InDesign package (fonts, links, styles)
• Press-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks, sized exactly to 210 × 275 mm
• Pre-flight report confirming colour space, resolution, and overprint settings
115 pages, 50 pictures

Acceptance criteria
The PDF must pass my printer’s pre-press check on the first upload, text styles must be paragraph- and character-based for easy edits, and all images must retain at least 300 dpi effective resolution.
