Autobiography Formatting & Publication Prep
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
The manuscript is finished: a long-form autobiography that slips between self-help insights and a true-crime thriller thread. To keep readers oriented I already use several fonts, headings, photos, icons and diagrams; what it lacks is the professional polish that turns words and images into a sale-ready book.
Here is what remains:
• Interior layout that respects the different voices of each section yet still feels cohesive
• Clean hierarchy of headings and subtitles, with a reliable Table of Contents that links correctly in both print and digital versions
• Image work—resizing, basic retouching and optimal placement of photos, diagrams and small illustrative icons
• Cover design (front, spine and back) that captures the hybrid nature of memoir, self-help and thriller
• Output of two finished products: a print-ready PDF for print-on-demand and a reflowable EPUB/KF8 file for major ebook platforms
- And an animated title page for the ebook made with the logo I have already designed.
The draft lives in Google Docs right now. I’m happy for you to migrate it to whichever tool will give the best result—Adobe InDesign, Word, Scrivener or a different workflow—so long as the final files pass Amazon KDP, IngramSpark and standard EPUB checks.
Deliverables are the print PDF, the validated ebook file, all high-resolution cover assets and the editable source package.
