Assistance Needed for InDesign File. Support

Basic indesign file help needed. See the attached file.

I have the latest Indesign (19.0.1) installed. Installed from Adobe Creative Cloud to my Windows 11 machine. I pay for an Adobe package. (I use PS and PP daily)

In regards to the file. I can open it. I can click in the text on the type (add to the text). I can paste text into this area.

However, it will note delete. Nothing happens when I hit the delete button.
AND it will not 'return'. Nothing happens when I hit the return button. Therefore It will not send the text to the next line when I hit return.

Note: Editing the text in story editor is NOT an acceptable solution here.

I am sure this is a very basic problem to fix.

Yes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Indesign.

2nd issue. I need to be able to copy and past text into the right column and edit it fully.

DO NOT tell me that the file is fine on your computer. That is NOT the issue. Your job is to get it to work on MY computer.
The first word in your proposal needs to be 'Apples' (all robo-bids will be deleted)
