Adult Coloring Book Layout Design
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a fully-illustrated adult colouring book that now needs its professional layout so it can sail through Amazon KDP (and similar POD portals in the United Kingdom) without a hitch. The artwork is finished, my editor is polishing the brief manuscript this week, and the front-cover design is already locked. What I still need is your eye for page composition and your know-how with print specifications.
Scope of work
– Build the interior: up to 120 pages, arranged single-sided so every illustration sits on its own page with a blank page behind it to prevent bleed-through.
– Apply correct trim size, margins, gutter, bleed and pagination for KDP; I’ll confirm the final trim size before you start.
– Drop in the short introductory text and any page numbers or decorative elements we agree on.
– Supply a print-ready PDF (or other suggested formats) that passes KDP’s pre-press check (and, ideally, IngramSpark/Booksby, etc. standards too).
– If small tweaks to the existing cover file are needed for spine width once the page count is final, please handle those and return the updated wraparound PDF as well.
– I’d like the working file (Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher) so future editions are simple to update.
Acceptance
The project is complete when the files upload without error to KDP’s previewer and the online proof looks exactly as expected.
