Adobe Sync Project Need a solution to stop conflicted copies of shared files on Adobe Creative Cloud

The Adobe Creative Cloud “conflicted copy” file problem has accelerated, and the studio (Robin, Jenna, Cameron (host) and Bill) have a lot of duplicate files. I think it’s duplicate inDesign files mostly.
We are finding it too time consuming (and dangerous) to manually delete files, and direct support from Adobe has not solved the problem. It has taken a sudden sharp increase lately and we have no idea why.
There was a theory that upgrading Jenna’s computer would solve the issue but it has not. We need to know how to test for solutions between our studio members.
