Veterinary Dental Procedure Illustrations
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I have a clear reference image and need it expanded into a cohesive series of high-quality illustrations that walk veterinary students through the full root-canal filling procedure in small-animal dentistry. The goal is to integrate the artwork into lecture slides, handouts, and an upcoming e-learning module, so each step must be both anatomically accurate and visually engaging.
You will receive:
• the original reference photo,
• a short outline of the surgical sequence, and
• colour, labeling and branding guidelines already used in my other teaching materials.

Job Description:
I am a licensed veterinary dentist in Germany looking for an experienced image editor or medical illustrator to help create a 5-image educational series for use in veterinary dental teaching. This material will be used exclusively for professional education purposes.
Background:
I have one original veterinary dental radiograph (X-ray) of a Labrador dog showing teeth 205, 206, 207, and 208 after completed endodontic (root canal) treatment. I need 5 edited versions of this image that illustrate the progressive steps of root canal treatment, to be used as a teaching aid for veterinary colleagues and students.
Important: All anatomy (root shape, bone structure, tooth positions) must remain consistent with the original reference image throughout all 5 images. Each image should have subtle differences in brightness, crop, and angle so they look like real clinical radiographs taken at different time points.
The 5 images needed:
Image 1 — Pre-treatment baseline:
Remove existing root canal fillings from tooth 206 so canals appear as natural dark spaces
Add a subtle fracture line on tooth 206 reaching the pulp chamber (complicated crown fracture)
Add a smaller fracture line on tooth 208 not reaching the pulp (uncomplicated crown fracture)
Remove crown restoration from tooth 208
Image 2 — Endodontic files in place:
Two thin bright white endodontic files inside both root canals of tooth 206, reaching near the root apex
Tooth 208 unchanged from Image 1
Image 3 — Master gutta-percha cones in place:
Replace files in tooth 206 with slightly thicker tapered bright white gutta-percha cones reaching the root apex
Tooth 208 unchanged
Image 4 — Root canals filled, no crown restoration yet:
Tooth 206: both canals filled with solid bright white radiopaque material matching the original reference image
Tooth 208: fracture still visible, crown restoration not yet placed
Image 5 — Final result:
Should closely match the original reference image I provide
Tooth 206 fully filled, tooth 208 with crown restoration in place
Deliverables:
5 high resolution PNG or TIFF files (minimum 300 DPI)
Grayscale radiographic appearance throughout
Consistent anatomy based on provided reference image
Ideal candidate:
Experience with medical, dental, or scientific image editing
Proficient in Photoshop or similar pixel-level editing software
Please include examples of similar medical or scientific image editing work in your proposal
Happy to do a small paid test (Image 1 only) before committing to the full project

1. All anatomical landmarks match current veterinary dental textbooks.
2. Each panel reads clearly in greyscale as well as colour.
3. Final files open cleanly in Adobe Illustrator 2023 with layers intact.
If you routinely illustrate surgical or dental topics, let me see samples—especially anything that shows cross-sections or procedural sequences. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right illustrator and I can provide quick feedback on drafts to keep things moving smoothly.
