Upscale & Print-Prep for 150 × 200 cm Brushed-Aluminum Panel
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have one finished image that I want to display at home on a 150 × 200 cm brushed-aluminum panel. The current file isn’t large enough, so I need it cleanly up-scaled and delivered print-ready for my lab.
Scope
Upscale so the image holds detail without visible artefacts/pixelation at the final size. Target: 200–240 PPI at 150 × 200 cm
(≈ 11811 × 15748 px @200 PPI; 14173 × 18898 px @240 PPI).
Preserve the original look—no stylistic changes. Faithful colour, sharpness, and texture; crisp even when viewed up close.
Add bleed 10 mm on all sides (and safe margin 15–20 mm inside). Apply crop marks only if the lab requires.
Use the colour profile specified by the lab (I’ll supply their sheet); otherwise embed sRGB.
If the panel is brushed aluminum, prepare an optional Spot White underbase layer as per the lab’s spec.
Deliverables
Full-resolution master: TIFF or PSD (layers preserved where useful).
Flattened print-ready file: PDF/X-4 or TIFF, sized correctly with bleed and embedded profile.
