Two Iconic B/W Photos Enhanced
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m putting together a pair of statement pieces and need your help sourcing and art-working both images from scratch.
The first piece is Um Kulthoum front facing performance, shot from the audience’s point of view—microphone stand, orchestra and stage curtains behind her. Everything stays black-and-white except the curtains, which must pop in a vivid red: RGB 190-0-11. I’ll be printing large, landscape orientation, so the file must hold up at exhibition scale.
The companion piece is a portrait-format photo of Omar Sharif in a dark suit, casually smoking while holding playing cards. Again, the base image remains monochrome, with the same red accent applied once the image is selected to choose what will be red
Because I don’t own suitable source material, you’ll need to locate high-resolution, rights-cleared photographs that match these descriptions, then carry out the colour isolation, tonal balancing and any light retouching needed for a clean, gallery-ready finish. Final deliverables are two layered PSDs plus flattened TIFFs sized for print; CMYK conversions can wait until approval of the RGB masters.
I’ll sign off once each file:
• reaches at least 6000 px on the long side without noticeable artefacts,
• carries the specified red tone precisely,
• shows no dust, scratches or banding when zoomed to 100 %, and
• prints sharply at 300 dpi on a proof.
If you can secure the imagery and meet those checks, I’m ready to move ASAP.
