Transform Old ID Into Graduation Portrait

Job ID: 40210881

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I have an old college-ID card from three decades ago. The photo is still one of my favorites, but the card’s watermark and low resolution make it unusable for display. I’d like you to isolate that head-shot, restore it cleanly, upscale it, and place me in a classic graduation setting.

Here’s what I already know I want:
• The background should feel like the timeless studio shots you see in commencement programs—neutral backdrop, soft lighting, and nothing too busy.
• Please add a traditional cap and gown. I’ll send an example so you can match the fabric color and trim precisely.
• No diploma or stage elements are needed unless you believe a subtle prop improves the composition; if you do add anything, let me preview it before finalizing.

Acceptance criteria and hand-off:
• Watermark completely removed with no visible artifacts when inspected at 200 %.
• Final portrait delivered at 300 dpi, at least 3000 px on the long edge, in both PNG and high-quality JPG.
• One layered PSD (or Affinity/Procreate file) showing background, subject, and any added items on separate layers for future tweaks.

If you use tools like Photoshop, Topaz Gigapixel, or similar AI upscalers, please keep the layers non-destructive so I can see the workflow. Looking forward to seeing that old snapshot turned into a frame-worthy graduation portrait!
