3D Segmentation & Modeling of Fossil Fish CT Data (Dragonfly3D Expert Needed)

Project Overview
We are a research team working on fossil fish specimens. We have collected synchrotron computed tomography (CT) data (TIFF image stacks, each file representing a single CT slice) of articulated and disarticulated fossil fish.
We are looking for an expert to process this data using Dragonfly3D (or equivalent scientific CT visualization software) to:
1) Segment individual bones and structures from the CT stacks
2) Identify and highlight canals, channels, and other internal features within bones
3) Generate publication-quality 3D renderings and images with color-coded segmentation of skeletal elements
This work will directly contribute to academic publications on fossil anatomy.
Who We’re Looking For
We need a specialist with proven experience in scientific or medical CT segmentation, specifically in:
> Paleontology, biology, medical imaging, or geoscience
> Working with TIFF stacks from CT or synchrotron data
> Dragonfly3D, Avizo, or comparable scientific segmentation tools
> Producing publication-ready 3D images and labeled segmentations
Do NOT apply if:
> You only create artistic 3D models or animations without scientific CT segmentation experience.
> You have not worked with real CT or microCT data from medical, biological, or geological sources.
Deliverables
> Segmented 3D models of bones and internal features (Dragonfly3D project or compatible export).
> High-resolution, color-coded publication-ready images (preferred formats: TIFF, PNG).
> (Optional but preferred) Animated rotations or cutaway views for presentations.
