Seaman Life Photo Collection -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m putting together a photography collection that captures the real pulse of life at sea and I need a skilled photographer who can help me tell that story visually. I’m open to different angles—whether that turns into intimate moments from a crew member’s bunk, dramatic shots of vessels cutting through rough waters, or powerful images of deckhands at work—so long as the final set feels authentic and immersive.
Your background shooting maritime, industrial, or travel subjects will weigh heavily in my decision, so please highlight concrete experience: previous ocean-going assignments, port access you already hold, or any published seafaring series you’ve completed. If you have none, show me projects that prove you can handle challenging, unpredictable environments with limited light and tight quarters.
Deliverables
• 30–40 high-resolution images (RAW + final color-graded JPEGs)
• Captions that add context (location, activity, crew role)
• A brief behind-the-shoot recap outlining gear used, lighting approach, and any model or vessel release paperwork secured
Acceptance Criteria
1. Images must be technically sharp, well-exposed, and free of sensor spots.
2. At least half of the final set should depict people; the remainder can focus on vessels, gear, or the surrounding seascape.
3. Every photo must meet a minimum resolution of 24 MP and be cleared for commercial use.
I’ll handle travel logistics together with you once we align on the concept. If this assignment excites you, share a concise overview of your seafaring or comparable field experience and link me directly to relevant portfolios.
