Salesforce Document Orientation Fix

I need a solution to ensure that documents uploaded by our field staff via the Salesforce Field Service Lightning app maintain their portrait orientation. Currently, when images (taken as JPGs on smartphones) are converted to PDFs and uploaded, they are being rotated to landscape.
