The need for image processing and computer vision
(traditional) expert

Dear image processing/computer vision engineers,

We are looking for experts to implement automatic lighting lighting, color correction (color consistency across the scene), and lens distortion correction, including segmentation of 3D images of plants.

The project is divided into three main parts. In the first part, we have already done some color correction and lighting lighting progressions on pure RGB (digital images) of Arabidopsis simple plants, but they are not uniform in the scene and the green color is not evenly distributed across plants of different sizes. and shape. Lens distortion works pretty well, but it can also be improved. The main goal is to make all folders have the same lighting, make the plants green consistently, and also solve the fisheye problem.

The second part, including color correction and lens distortion implementation for the 3D image of the tomato plant, forms the scratch. Also, segmentation of the 3D model should be done by separating the 3D model and background of large datasets.

The third part involves color correction of a very complex 3D model of a wheat plant. The yellow color is inconsistent and requires more attention than tomato plants. Segmentation is also required here.

Resources in terms of documentation and existing scientific papers on this topic
It can be easily provided.

It consists of one RGB image data set and two 3D image data sets of tomatoes and wheat. Project development is task-by-task.

work:
1) Uniform lighting + consistent color correctiona and lens distortion for RGB imaging (work does not start from scratch, requires using current code and implementation): should be completed within 1-2 weeks max.
2) Color Correction and Segmentation for 3D Imaging of Tomato Plants - should be completed from the beginning to the full within 2-3 weeks.
3) Color Correction and Segmentation for 3D Imaging of Tomato Plants - from start to finish should be completed within up to 2-3 weeks.

Note: This is not an hourly project and we do not accept offers to convert to hourly prices. We may put in a fixed price (don't offer a higher price) and we should deliver results within a specified period or earlier if possible or at a fast pace. You should have extensive experience in similar computer vision/image processing projects applying the mentioned techniques.

You should also document the work performed for each task.
Again, read carefully and apply only if you have relevant experience in the work mentioned. Developers should have expertise in 2D signal processing, image processing, computer vision, 3D data and RGB data, and the math behind implementing RGB and 3D imaging segmentation mechanisms. An example document of color correction applied to a similar project is attached here.
